As game development costs continue to rise, the big publishers tend to get a lot more adverse to trying something different on a large scale. That’s why it’s always fun to get brand new properties, such as Ubisoft’s upcoming Immortals Fenyx Rising. While the game clearly is entrenched in the Ubisoft model of open world logic, it has a very different look and type of humor from what we’re used to. It’s also putting an all ages audience in its crosshair, something we continue seeing with the marketing.
In the lead up to release, Immortals has gotten a few animated teasers. One of which was even a crossover with Adventure Time, as well as a few teases for the full animated trailer that was released today. It feels like less of a trailer and more of an animated short as Fenyx battles what seems to be a never-ending barrage of enemies from the game. You can check it out below.
