Battlefield 2042

Battlefield 2042 has been officially announced, and as you’d expect, it’s going to cost more if you plan on purchasing it for PS5 or Xbox Series X/S. In a press release, EA has confirmed that while the first person shooter will cost $59.99 on PS4 and Xbox One, on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, it will cost $69.99. This doesn’t come as too much of a surprise, honestly.

Meanwhile, Gold and Ultimate Editions have also been revealed for the game. In addition to the base game, the Gold Edition will also include the Year 1 Pack, which will include four new Specialists and four new battle passes, with one of each being doled out once every season over the course of Year 1. Three Epic skin bundles are also going to be included in the Year 1 pack, called Blistered Earth, Tempest, and Cold Blood.

The Ultimate Edition will include all of that, as well as the Midnight Ultimate Bundle, which includes the Shadow Stalker Legendary outfit, the Obsidian Legendary weapon skin, and the Onyx Legendary vehicle skin. Also included is an official artbook and an exclusive digital soundtrack.

The Gold Edition will cost $89.99 on PC and $99.99 on consoles, while the Ultimate Edition will cost $109.99 on PC or $119.99 on consoles. Meanwhile, anyone who pre-orders (even the Standard Edition) will also get early access on October 15, a week before the game launches. Pre-orders will also get the Pre-Order Pack, which includes open beta early access, the Baku ACB-90 melee takedown knife, the Mr. Chompy Epic weapon charm, the Landfall player card background, and the Old Guard tag. Finally, all EA Play members are also going to get a 10-hour trial of the game starting on October 15.

Battlefield 2042 is out on October 22 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
