Hot Wheels Unleashed is looking like a promising and fun arcade racing game, with developer Milestone taking the concept of Hot Wheels and building a suitable quirky racing game around it. What we’ve seen of it so far has certainly looked promising, and now, in a new trailer and gameplay overview (courtesy of IGN), the developers have detailed the game’s track customization and creation mechanics.

There’s quite a lot to dig into here- the length of track pieces, their curvature, their railings, what they look like, whether you want to put boost strips or electrified strips on their surfaces, and all manner of environmental interactive elements, from dinosaurs to, of course, the classic Hot Wheels loops. The game’s clearly embracing the fun and zany nature of Hot Wheels tracks and racing, and that stands true for its track editing tools as well. Check them out in greater detail in the videos below.

Hot Wheels Unleashed is slated to launch on September 30 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
