Famitsu has released the latest data for retail software and hardware sales in Japan, and Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, which topped the charts last week with whopping sales, are once again in pole position. The duo of remakes collectively sold over 355,000 units last week in Japan, which means they’re still outpacing the sales of 2019’s Pokemon Sword and Shield in the region. Speaking of which, the 2019 RPG duo is also in the charts at No. 10 with nearly 9,000 units sold.

The entire top 10, interestingly, is dominated by Nintendo Switch games, with many games figuring in that have been familiar faces in these charts over the weeks and months. This includes the likes of Mario Party Superstars, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Ring Fit Adventure, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Shin Megami Tensei 5.

Meanwhile, on the hardware front, the Nintendo Switch is similarly dominant. Collectively, its base model, OLED model, and Lite model sold over 122,000 units over the week. The PS5, meanwhile, sold nearly 9,000 units.
