DOOM 2 Receives a New Level Made by the Original Creator, John Romero

DOOM 2 is not exactly a recent game by any stretch of the imagination, but surprisingly, it’s received a new level for players to die into. Interestingly, the level has been created by none other than the famed John Romero, co-creator of DOOM, and one of the designers of DOOM 2.

The level, called One Humanity, is the first level Romero has created for the game since its original release in 1994. To play it, you will need to buy the WAD file off of Romero’s official website. An official DOOM 2 copy with a modern source port is required, as you’d expect, and the level can be downloaded up to three times, so it is advisable to back it up after the purchase and download.

Priced at € 5, 100% of the proceeds earned from the sales of the level will be going to assist the concerned agencies Romero made the level to provide aid for humanitarian efforts in Ukraine. You can purchase the level through Romero’s official website through here.
