MultiVersus’ closed alpha test is now live. As previously announced, it will run until May 27, and is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

MultiVersus is a 2-on-2 platform fighter in the vein of Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. franchise. The roster in MultiVersus features characters from various Warner Bros. properties, including Batman, Wonder Woman, The Iron Giant, Bugs Bunny, Shaggy from Scooby-Doo, and Arya Stark from Game of Thrones.

The game’s roster is quite expansive even at this stage, with a recent trailer showing off interactions between The Iron Giant and Superman, Batman and Shaggy, and Arya Stark and Bugs Bunny, among others. Scooby-Doo‘s Velma has also been confirmed for the game.

To commemorate the start of the MultiVersus closed alpha, Warner Bros. Games has released a lengthy video highlighting the game by featuring streamers from the fighting game community, MVD and Lord Knight, playing against ESAM and Light. The video features commentary by Sharpie and AJAX. Check it out below.

MultiVersus will also be getting an open beta, scheduled for July 2022.
