Survival horror fans have a great deal to look forward to in the near future, with Striking Distance Studio’s upcoming sci-fi horror game The Callisto Protocol being one in particular that has caught the eye. Its developers have promised an experience that prioritizes horror over action, also confirming that players will be crossing paths with 10-11 different enemy types. One of these has now been revealed.

Striking Distance boss and The Callisto Protocol’s director Glen Schofield recently took to Twitter and shared an image of a new enemy. Called “The Blind”, it’s a biophage (which is what the monsters in The Callisto Protocol are referred to as) that has “evolved and adapted in the dark.” It should be interesting to see, to say the very least, how the game makes use of this enemy. Surely, horror fans can imagine a few good ways that’ll bring plenty of scares.

The Callisto Protocol is due out on December 2 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
