Elden Ring is an absolutely massive game with no shortage of things to do, but if somehow you’re looking for more new content to dive into, there might be good news for you. Recently, a free update added the Colosseum to FromSoftware’s open world action RPG, but it seems like the developer may have more things planned for the game as well.
Elden Ring recently won the Game of the Year award at The Game Awards, and while making his acceptance speech, director and FromSoftware boss Hidetaka Miyazaki said that there’s still “several more things” the studio wants to do with the game.
“As for Elden Ring, we still have several more things we want to do, so getting this award really, really encourages us,” Miyazaki said during his speech via a translator.
Dataminers have been digging into Elden Ring’s files and, over the last couple of months, have found evidence that may potentially point to plans for upcoming DLC content.
Of course, FromSoftware is also at work on its next big titles beyond Elden Ring. The developer announced Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon at The Game Awards, while Miyazaki has previously said that work is also underway on the next game that he will direct himself.
Elden Ring is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
