Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League

Rocksteady waited a long time after officially announcing Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League to finally debut its gameplay footage, but following its long-awaited gameplay demonstration last month, it was met with widespread backlash from audiences. With its live service approach, its focus on live service elements, the loot-focused gameplay, its always-online requirement, and more, there’s plenty about the co-op superhero title that has come under fire in the last couple of weeks, and it seems it has pushed publisher WB Games to make a significant decision.

As per a report published by Jason Schreier on Bloomberg, WB Games has decided to delay Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League again. It was originally delayed to Spring 2023 a year ago, following which a May 26 launch date was announced in December. Now, as per Schreier, the date has been pushed back to later in the year, though there’s no word yet on exactly when that will be.

Interestingly, the report claims the widespread backlash against the game and its aforementioned live service elements has driven WB Games’ decision to delay it. An official announcement hasn’t yet been made by the publisher.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is in development for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
