Hogwarts Legacy

Hogwarts Legacy has been a massive commercial success for WB Games, having sold over 12 million copies worldwide at launch, and it is continuing to see impressive sales in the UK as well. As per the latest data for weekly physical sales in the UK released by the Gfk (via GamesIndustry), it was the best-selling game in the region last week for a fifth week in a row.

It has, in fact, already surpassed the lifetime sales of Elden Ring, one of the biggest releases of 2022. By the time its digital sales data for last week is released in a couple days’ time, it’s likely to have surpassed the lifetime sales of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga as well. With the game still set to launch for PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, one would assume its momentum isn’t going to slow down anytime soon.

Meanwhile, thanks to several Mario Day promotions by Nintendo on and around March 10, a number of Mario titles have also seen increased sales in the UK, with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (No. 2) seeing a 4% increase in sales, Super Mario Odyssey (No. 26) seeing a 55% increase in sales, and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury (No. 20) seeing a 13% increase in sales.

Metroid Prime Remastered, which debuted the charts at No. 2 last week following its physical release, has dropped down to fourth place.
