At the recent Summer Game Fest showcase, Ubisoft brought one of the more pleasant surprises of the event with Prince of Persia: The Lost Crowna new 2D Metroidvania action-platformer. The game showed a lot of promise with its fast combat and platforming as well as its visual style from what was showcased, and further details on the title have also become available in the wake of its announcement.

For instance, the official website for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown confirms that the game will run at 60 FPS on “all platforms”, enabling “unique gameplay fluidity”. Presumably, this means both last-gen consoles and the Nintendo Switch are also included. Given the sort of gameplay and action this game is promising, a stable 60 FPS frame rate should serve as an excellent bonus.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown launches on January 18, 2024 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Expect more details on the game will be arriving at Ubisoft Forward on June 12.
