EA’s annual football sim franchise is moving on from its long-standing FIFA branding with this year’s instalment, but players need not be worried about what that’ll mean for the large amount of official licenses that each entry in the series carries, particularly where the Premier League is concerned.
Reports claimed earlier this year that EA was close to agreeing a new licensing deal with the Premier League for its football series, and now, as reported by VGC, it’s been announced that the long-running deal between the two has been officially extended.
That means that EA Sports FC 24 and future titles will feature official licenses for the Premier League, as well as all of its teams, stadiums, players, kits, sponsors, and managers. Additionally, EA Sports and the Premier League will also continue to work together on community programmes like EA Sports FC Futures, which will entail school football initiatives and investment into grassroots facilities.
EA Sports FC 24 launches on September 29 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Head on over here to watch EA’s recent gameplay deep dive to learn about some of its biggest improvements to the on-pitch action.
