Earlier this week, Activision officially unveiled Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, as months of leaks had claimed it would. Set to launch in November, there’s not much that has yet been officially revealed about the shooter, though Activision has now revealed a new trailer that confirms some crucial details.

The newest trailer for Modern Warfare 3 confirms that Vladimir Makarov will indeed be the primary antagonist. Makarov was, of course, the main antagonist of the original Modern Warfare trilogy, taking on his most prominent role in 2011’s Modern Warfare 3. In the rebooted Modern Warfare series, he hasn’t yet made an actual appearance, but was set up as the primary future villain in the closing minutes of Modern Warfare 2’s campaign.

Interestingly, the trailer, in spite of being primarily live action, also contains some brief snippets of in-game footage that offer a few clues on what Modern Warfare 3’s campaign will have in store, with a location that looks like Verdansk being spotted in one scene, and another sequence suggesting that the game will feature a mission similar to “Turbulence” from the original Modern Warfare 3.

Meanwhile, Activision has also confirmed that a full reveal for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is set for August 17, where we’re likely to learn more about its single player campaign, as well as the platforms it will launch for. Stay tuned for more updates.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is due out on November 10.
