New Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi

Bandai Namco has announced that the Budokai Tenkaichi game it had announced back in October is titled Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero. The game was unveiled with a new trailer during The Game Awards 2023, and much like its predecessors, will have an emphasis on creating epic one-on-one fights from its source material in the manga and anime.

Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero seems to have an impressive roster that’s quite modern in relation to the original manga and anime, as the trailer shows off both Goku and Vegeta transforming into their powerful Super Saiyan Blue forms. The trailer also features one of the iconic villains from the Dragon Ball series, Freiza.

The game doesn’t yet have a release date. Developed by Spike Chunsoft in collaboration with Toei Animation, Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero will be coming to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game will likely bring along many improvements over older arena fighters like Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3, Dragon Ball: Raging Blast, and even the more recent PvP options from Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.
