With Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leagueplayers will be returning to the Batman: Arkham universe five years after the events of Arkham Knight, but once the open world looter shooter is out, will that be it for the universe?

According to filmmaker James Gunn, who’s co-CEO and co-chairman of the DC Universe, that won’t be the case. Responding to a fan on Threads, when asked if the Arkhamverse would be “over after Suicide Squad“, Gunn said, “No way! I personally can’t wait for the game and hopefully more. I’m a fan!”

When asked again by a different fan if Suicide Squad will be the final game in the Arkham series, Gunn replied, “No plans of it being the last!” The post has since been deleted, but you can view a screencap below, courtesy of @dcuworld on Twitter.

When Gunn was announced as the co-CEO and co-chairman of the DCU last year, he revealed plans for future video games that would be connected to the cinematic universe. Currently, however, neither of the two known upcoming DC games – Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman – are confirmed to be part of the DCU.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League launches on February 2 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
