Developer Massive Monster and publisher Devolver Digital have announced details about the next major content update for cult-based hack-and-slash roguelite title Cult of the Lamb. The update, titled Sins of the Flesh, has a January 16 release date, and has a new trailer that you can check out below.

Sins of the Flesh has been described by the studio as the biggest and “most wicked” content update released for Cult of the Lamb so far. Among other things, the update will bring with it a host of new quests, features, and a new resource that players have will have to earn in order to unlock more rewards.

One of the key features of the update is a new progression system that players can follow by following a more sinful path. This allows players to take part in new rituals, erect new vain buildings, and enact new doctrines. Followers are also getting a new progression system through the new inner circle of Disciples.

Speaking of followers, cultists are getting new features as well through the addition of new buildings and shiny poop, which has enhanced effects like better crop yields. Players can also get a new broom, which can then be leveled up to complete chores faster.

On the action side of things, Cult of the Lamb is getting a new weapon—the Blunderbuss. The new weapon offers a mix of long-range sniping, as well as a burst attack that can blow enemies away in close quarters combat.

Cult of the Lamb is out on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.
