Planet Coaster 2

Frontier Developments has established itself as the premiere studio when it comes to delivering high-quality management sims, and earlier this month, it announced another one of those in the form of Planet Coaster 2, which is due out later this year. Now, the developer has released the first gameplay deep dive video for the title, showing a hefty amount of new footage.

The gameplay deep dive goes into Planet Coaster 2’s overarching creation toolset, and how it will allow players to create the theme park of their dreams. Unlike the first game, in addition to rollercoasters, you will also be able to make water parks, slides, pools, and all manner of attractions, with plenty of control afforded over what exactly you want to build.

Of course, those who’ve played the first game will find plenty familiar in terms of the base mechanics, but Planet Coaster 2 is also promising plenty of tweaks and improvements over its predecessor. Check out the deep dive below for more details, and make sure to keep an eye out for the next deep dive video, where Frontier will be revealing new details on the game’s set of creation tools.

Planet Coaster 2 is due out this fall for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
