Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has been high on many most anticipated lists for some time now, and ahead of the shooter’s imminent release, developer Focus Entertainment and publisher Saber Interactive are continuing to offer new glimpses of what players can expect.

Taking to Twitter, in fact, the former has shared a couple of new gameplay clips, with one highlighting the Hive World of Avarax, which will be one of the battlegrounds where players will find themselves in the game. Specifically, in the campaign, protagonist Titus will find himself with his squad in the metropolis of Fervastium, where they will be tasked with rescuing and retrieving Tech-Priest Morias Leuze from a mysterious and remote research facility.

Another gameplay clip, meanwhile, turns its attention to another one of the game’s many usable weapons- specifically, the Melta Rifle, which is described as Space Marine 2’s “most devastating close range weapon”. It shoots out super-heated blasts of energy that melt enemies down to their core, and serves as a particularly effective weapon when facing large swarms of enemies in close quarters. Check out the clips below for more details.

Our review of Space Marine 2 recently went live, where we awarded it a score of 9/10, saying, “Brutal action, mind-boggling scale, spectacular set-pieces, and a bevy of content come together in what is one of the best action games in recent memory. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is unmissable.” Read the full review through here.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 launches on September 9 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
