Leveling up in Mistfall Hunter is not just about unlocking Class Skills and earning Talent Points, but is also necessary for opening up new maps and their variants, as well as upgrading your Camp. Then there’s the Path of Glory ranked ladder system at Level 6, if you have any interest in unlocking a variety of cosmetic rewards.
This Mistfall Hunter guide is all about leveling yourself up as quickly and efficiently as possible. With 14,400 XP required to attain the current level cap of 12, you will have your work cut out for you.
Early Game Leveling
At the start, stick to completing Tasks whether Main or Side, as these story quests give you a consistent amount of XP in chunks upon completion. Rewards appear to be balanced well enough if you are simply progressing through the story.
Chests And Chambers
Once you have their locations down, your farming route should take you through as many of these as possible without diverting you too far off the beaten path towards your actual target enemies. The four types of Chests grant between 15 and 60 XP in normal solo mode, and just half that in a trio.
Farming Bosses
Mist Lord bosses are significantly harder to battle, and would only really be consistently farmable once you have been geared up with endgame tiers of weapons and armor. Solo boss takedowns are worth as much as 260 XP, but only 80 as a trio.
Farming Enemies
While this is obvious, your ideal targets would be elites for maximum value for your investment in time, rather than just plowing your way through hordes of trash mobs. The latter top out at 23 XP solo, and 8 in a trio. Elite XP returns start at 34 to 65, and reach as high as 130 XP in solo mode, and you can assume approximately 1/3rd of that as a trio.
Farming Gyldhunters PvP
While PvPvE is currently the norm in the game, attempting to duel other players is a risky business, for less than an ideal return of XP.
Farming AI Hunters
You might have a much easier time farming AI Hunters if you can correctly distinguish them from real players. Their XP grants are exactly the same, but without the unpredictability of battling a real player.
Map Difficulty Variant
As soon as you unlock the Chaos/Cataclysm variants of the two maps, you should elect to do runs on them instead, just for that 30% bonus to XP. This is dependent on player skill and experience of course.
The general rule for XP rewards appears to be 3X the XP if solo, and another 1.3X modifier on Chaos or Cataclysm difficulty, though the latter appears to only be playable as a trio.
Also bear in mind that you temporarily stop earning XP in the event that you attain a new level during a run. If this occurs, elect to simply extract right away, unless you are also pursuing some other tangible reward that is convenient.
That is every way to farm XP as fast and effortlessly as possible in Mistfall Hunter.
