Assassin’s Creed III to be set in Rome

Assassin’s Creed II was one of the best games released last year and has sold a whopping 8 million copies worldwide. Now we have incoming news that a Ubisoft rep revealed during the company’s fiscal year 2009-10 Q3 conference call that the next game in the franchise will be based on Ezio’s adventures set in Rome.

Reps said that the third game in the series will be a continuation of the second with Ezio as the leading protagonist again. Expect a 2011 release date for Assassin’s Creed III.
