With early announcements stating that the Halo: Reach beta will be in Crackdown 2, and also for the fact that Crackdown 1 included the Halo 3 beta, many gamers were expecting to get some Halo love while at the same time playing the new Crackdown, but unfortunately, that won’t happen.
The reason for that is for the simple fact that Crackdown 2 is released this July, and its too late to include the beta, according to James Cope.
“It was [in consideration],we would’ve loved to have done it, basically. We would’ve absolutely loved to have had that opportunity but the timing just wasn’t right for us.” said Cope during an interview with CVG.
“The Halo 3 beta [included with Crackdown 1] was a fantastic one and I do personally love the stories of people buying it for the beta and staying with Crackdown,”
“It would’ve been fun. I hope one day we get to return that favour (laughs). Maybe one day whatever Bungie does next we can offer them a bundle in with our next game.” he continued.
Crackdown 2 is set to be released on July 6 in the US and on July 9 in Europe.
