So the hubbub surrounding this year’s E3 has finally died down, and it’s now time to survey the usual wreckage left behind by the biggest showcase of the gaming industry. My initial reaction was one of disappointment, with the absence of next gen hardware and no real killer apps as such making the show seem a bit too empty, but there was a lot of good in there that still needs to be recognised. A top ten list seems like the perfect way to digest the events of E3, so read on for ten awesome moments from the show floor.
1. Pikmin 3
Nintendo really needed to pull out a killer app to truly sell the Wii U. Without a Metroid, Mario or Zelda related announcement, the only thing they had to fall back on was Pikmin 3. Whilst it wasn't exactly the first party saviour everyone was hoping for, it was definitely exciting seeing a new Pikmin title on the big screen, and the new features of the Wii U should make it an original instalment within the franchise.
