A Plague Tale: Requiem has looked exactly like the sequel that fans of its predecessor have been hoping for every time we’ve seen more of it, and in the lead-up to its launch in October, it continues to receive more details and showings, each equally promising. Now, publisher Focus Entertainment has released a gameplay overview trailer for it, and once again, it’s looking very promising.

The trailer is over five minutes long, so there’s quite a lot to dive into here, with most of it summarizing and reiterating details that have been previously revealed, from where the game’s story kicks off and the places that Hugo and Amicia will travel through on their journey to the fact that you can, thanks to Hugo’s expanding abilities, now control swarms of rats and direct them at foes. Details on combat, stealth, and more are also shared. Check out the full trailer below.

A Plague Tale: Requiem launches on October 18 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and as a cloud-exclusive release for the Nintendo Switch.
