Announced only a month ago, A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead has already placed itself on the radar for many horror fans, and the game continues to impress with each new showing. Via IGN, developer Stormind Games and publisher Saber Interactive have released another 10 minutes of uncut gameplay footage from the upcoming single-player horror adventure game. Check it out below.

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is, of course, set in the same universe as the sci-fi horror movies, which means your primary objective will be to stealthily sneak past blind yet deadly aliens who hunt through sound. Stealth will rely heavily on ensuring that you’re not making too much noise, so you’ll have to avoid walking into loose cans scattered in the environments, walking on broken glass, and the like.

Interestingly enough, protagonist Alex is also asthmatic, so managing her breath and ensuring the health of her lungs will also be key. Performing actions such as vaulting over ledges, climbing onto ledges, or holding your breath will worsen the condition of your lungs- and the latter is something that you’re going to have to do a lot of when you find yourself in close proximity to one of the deadly aliens. You can always heal yourself with pills or inhalers through.

Players will also be managing batteries, with a flashlight being used to illuminate dark environments, though it doesn’t look like combat is going to have any role to play. Check out the video below for more details.

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is due out sometime later this year for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
