True to the films it’s based on, A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is going to task players with remaining as silent as possible first and foremost, with the biggest threat facing you in the upcoming horror title being terrifying alien monstrosities that hunt through sound. In fact, if you wish, you’re going to have the option to make the experience that much more immersive for yourself.

Taking to Twitter to share the game’s recently-released live-action trailer, developer Stormind Games revealed in an accompanying message that A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead will allow players to toggle on a microphone noise detection feature, which, as its name suggests, will catch any sound you (or anyone or anything around you) make, and alert the in-game aliens to the same.

That’s a feature that could, of course, easily prove to be more than a little frustrating for players, but having the option to try it out under the perfect conditions is certainly a bonus.

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead launches on October 17 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
