A Way Out Will Not Have Matchmaking; Has Co-op Dialog Wheel

That's bold of them.

A way out

A Way Out was probably the best game that EA showed off at their show yesterday for E3. The co-op prison break game looks to be hugely interesting, and a lot of people are left wondering about the logistics of the title- especially since it was revealed to be co-op only.

Apparently, you have to play this game with a friend (locally or online). There will be no matchmaking with randoms for this game, which probably significantly lowers its appeal to a lot of people. I find that sad, because I am all for a game that makes you play with other, real people. At the same time, I also understand that the necessities of modern life dictate that that may not always be possible for some people. They will sadly find this game to be useless for them.

The game will also have a dialog wheel for both players, and the only way you will be able to progress will be if both players choose the same option. This is meant to facilitate conversation between the players.

This sounds interesting to me, and I can’t wait to see how the final game turns out. A Way Out will launch on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
