Activision is putting in a mammoth investment for its upcoming downlodable content for Modern Warfare 2: Stimulus Package.  £1m will be put in for promoting the game’s DLC so that it can be reached to the strong user base of 25 million Modern Warfare 2 owners. This will include an extensive marketing campaign such as TV advertisments, many of which have already gone live.

Activision’s marketing director for UK and Ireland David Tyler said: “We are excited about the content of the Stimulus Package and our gamers are going to be blown away by the new maps.

The stimulus package is priced at a heavy 1200 Microsoft Points (£10.20 / €14.40 / $15) and consists of five multi player maps namely:

  • Bailout
  • Storm
  • Salvage
  • Crash
  • Overgrown
