Activision signs 10 year deal with Bungie

In one of the biggest news that has hit 2010, Activision Blizzard has signed an exclusive 10 year partnership with Bungie, the developers behind the hit series Halo.  This deal means that Activision will now have exclusive rights to sell, pusblish and distribute games made by Bungie, which in turn will increase the global reach for Bungie. Thomas Tippl, chief operating officer of Activision Blizzard, said: “Bungie is one of the premier studios in the gaming industry. Our unprecedented partnership with Bungie will enable us to broaden our pipeline of exciting new games as we continue to strengthen our industry position.”

From a gamers point of view, expect future games from Bungie to be multiplatform. Stay tuned with GB for news and updates.
