It has good multiplayer
GTA4 and Red Dead Redemption both had some good multiplayer ideas, but the whole experience never lived up to the games’ ambitious single player modes. Agent needs to make sure that both modes are equally competent. The idea of spy multiplayer may sound ridiculous, but I remember Spy vs. Spy on Gameboy being the absolute bomb (pardon the pun) when I was a kid. A more focused multiplayer where traps and gadgets are used to deceive players could really give Agent a unique mechanic in an increasingly derivative market.
It won’t slow down the development of other Rockstar franchises
Yes Agent does sound like a cool idea, but would you really want to see it over Grand Theft Auto 5? New intellectual properties are always worth getting excited about, but it’s questionable whether we want one at the expense of other already established franchises. The idea of Agent slowing down the development of GTA5 and RDR2 is a sad one, so we can only hope that it isn’t/won’t be the case.
It releases as a multi-platform title later on
Sure, PS3 exclusivity will give Agent some more resources to use up, but isn’t it better when we can all get a go? Even though it may have a minor effect upon the graphical quality of the game, Xbox 360 and PC owners may also want to get a chance to try out Agent in some way. There are times when sacrifices have to be made for the greater good of all gamers.
