Aliens: Colonial Marines “Contact” Trailer Gets Extended Cut, Emotional Violence

You know things are serious when they start playing the piano.

Sega has released a new extended cut for the “Contact” trailer from Aliens: Colonial Marines, the upcoming first person shooter from Gearbox Software based on the legendary Aliens franchise.

Long story short, chaos. As the Marines come into contact with the Xenomorphs for the first time, we’re taken to several stages of the conflict (within the same starship no less) than reveal just what kind of threat the extraterrestrials pose.

This includes infiltrating tight crawl spaces, Face Huggers, and the ever so adorable Queen Alien. Despite being CG-rendered, the action closely resembles the actual game. The difference is that you’ll be a part of one Marines squad, and facing off against an unknown number of aliens.

And hey, you can even play as the Xenomorphs in a 4 vs. 4 multiplayer mode. How cool is that?

Aliens: Colonial Marines is due to release for Xbox 360, PC and PS3 on February 12th, just days after the highly-anticipated Dead Space 3. Will it emerge the dominant survival horror shooter? Time will tell.
