Aliens vs Predators Console Support Cancelled

Posted By | On 15th, Jul. 2010

The AvP patches which were originally supposed to be releasing for the console versions of the game have been cancelled, Sega has announced. Players have been craving for a new Bughunt DLC for some time now, and many of them have expressed their feelings about how the game is unmercifully broken, and needs patches. Sega, though, is not obliging.

Sega online administrator Clumsyorchid announced this via a message on the Sega forums. The message is as follows.

“I’ve just received a mail this AM regarding patches for the console versions of AVP and I regret to inform everyone that these have sadly been scrapped.”

“I had previously made a claim that these were coming and at the time, this was very much on the table. For the console community, I apologize, as I know there are many features and updates that you’d like to see. I’ll keep fighting internally for this to happen, but until I hear otherwise, there will not be a console patch for either Xbox or PS3.”

On the patches for the PC versions, he said, “I have heard nothing on PC patches and would not assume there will be any changes unless stated otherwise.”
