Bowser’s original name was King Koopa

I know what you’re thinking King Koopa isn’t really a catchy name as Bowser, but like many characters they had to test the names to see if it would actually stick.  King Koopa was created by Shigeru Miyamoto to be the sort of beast character for Mario games. However over the years, King Koopa was slowly fading into the background and the name Bowser began to emerge and the name stuck and an icon was born.
