Aonuma teases new 3DS Zelda (again)

Posted By | On 24th, Feb. 2012

Just like he did a few months back where he announced that the 3DS will be getting more Zelda titles (and they wouldn’t be remakes), The Legend of Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma has teased a new instalment in the legendary series for Nintendo’s new handheld.

Aonuma sent a message to 3DS users via Swapnote (an appilcation that lets people send hand written messages to other users) saying: “Hello, this is Aonuma, Nintendo’s Legend of Zelda producer. Did you enjoy The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D? Thanks to everyone, the Legend of Zelda series had a very happy 25th anniversary.” (via Kotaku).

“I hope you’re looking forward to new Legend of Zelda games,” he continued. Apparently, this message was restricted to specific region, because we can’t see it anywhere in our inbox (CVG reports the same). However, it’s pretty clear that we’re yet to see more of the action adventure franchise on the 3DS.

I guess we’ll just have to wait and watch.
