A blog post on the official Apex Legends blog states that the game will now be featuring bite-sized story quests. In the post, developer Respawn Entertainment has revealed that this new mode will be called Apex Chronicles.
The first in the series is titled Old Ways, New Dawn and will be focused on long-time Legend Bloodhound. Players wishing to trigger the quest will have to look out for a White Raven in a non-ranked battle royale game. On triggering the quest, players will be taken on an adventure, which will see Bloodhound save an injured prowler and delve deeper into his past failures and guilts.
Respawn has also stated that the story will feature checkpoints, and players won’t overlap with each other. The premise certainly sounds interesting, given the richness and vastness of the lore of Apex Legends. The update drops on September 29 for all platforms that the game is currently available on.
