Arkham City to feature “RPG-Style” gameplay

In a recent interview with Arkham fansite, going by the same name, the game’s director, Sefton Hill and a few others working on the game, revealed quiet an interesting aspect of the gameplay.

They said that some sections of Batman: Arkham City would offer you with an almost “RPG-Style” gameplay experience.

In a response to a question about how they plan to balance the open-style gameplay and if Batman would be able to explore the entire city from the get-go, they disclosed this news:

As you go into different zones, the gang leaders will have different levels of security so if you go to areas that are away from the main part of the story you’re going to find them a bit more challenging, which gives it almost an RPG style.

Now, this is really going to be interesting, enabling the Bat to wander far from his objectives and posing a bigger challenge the farther he goes, now that’s stuff which is really worth waiting for.

The game’s releasing this August for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
