ARMS New Trailer Introduces Some Of The Fighters You Can Play As In The Game

Ridiculously over the top fun.

Nintendo is gearing up to launch its first new major IP since 2015’s Splatoon– ARMS is as whimsical a take on the traditional fighting game genre as Splatoon was. Moreover, it is made by the same folks who make Mario Kart, so you just know it will be quality.

If you’ve been curious about the game, this new trailer that Nintendo just released may help you out a bit. The trailer showcases some of the numerous, colorful and springy characters you will be fighting as in the game. True to Nintendo, they look highly bizarre, and stylized as hell.

ARMS is due to release exclusively on the Nintendo Switch some time this Spring. An exact release date is unknown, but we can safely rule out an April release (since Nintendo will want to save that for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe)- it’s probable that Splatoon 2 launches in June, leaving ARMS with a May release date. Keep in mind this isn’t confirmed yet- but it’s reasonably sound speculation.
