Assassin's Creed Odyssey - The Fate of Atlantis

For any series that continues on for many years and iterations, there will always be change. The last two mainline Assassin’s Creed titles have seen some major shake ups, going in a more RPG direction as well as leaning into the series more fantastical side. But there is still an educational skin to the games despite all that, as a good deal of historical research and recreation go into each game. That’s why, despite being so different both Origins and Odyssey got an educational based Discovery Tour mode. And now, they are opening that up to everyone for free.

Ubisoft announced that both the Discovery Tour modes that cover Ancient Greece and Egypt will be free on PC via the link on the official Twitter below until next week. While they were always free DLC to their respective title in the past, this is a totally standalone mode, meaning you won’t need a copy of Origins or Odyssey. If you’re unfamiliar with the mode, it allows you go through the locations recreated in the games and learn various facts and history, making both games somewhat of an interactive encyclopedia.

The Discovery Tour modes will be free to claim on PC until May 21st. To be clear, these do not include the main titles, they are only the Discovery Tour standalone titles. The next game in the franchise, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, is set to launch this holiday season.
