Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Gets ‘Freedom Cry’ DLC

Free the slaves!

Posted By | On 16th, Dec. 2013

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, the excellent fourth numbered entry in Ubisoft’s flagship franchise, is getting its first piece of DLC, ‘Freedom Cry.’ It will launch tomorrow on Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Windows PC, with PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions coming December 18.

Freedom Cry is a nine mission self contained story starring Edward Kemway’s first mate Adewale as he sets out to face past demons and on a personal odyssey that sees him freeing slaves.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag launched a month ago on every active console in the market, and PC. After last year’s disappointing Assassin’s Creed III, it revitalized the series entirely. You can check out our review for the game here.

The DLC is also available as part of the season pass for the game, which includes other content in addition to this one, available now. The Wii U version of the game will not be getting this or any other DLC.
