After a few months of radio silence following its announcement last year, we’ve seen a lot more of Assassin’s Creed Mirage of late, especially with a lengthy gameplay walkthrough demonstration at the recent Ubisoft Forward event. In the wake of that showing, Ubisoft has also released another video that sees the game’s developers breaking down the walkthrough to reveal additional details.

In more ways than oneMirage is looking like a return to the roots for Ubisoft’s flagship franchise, and in the developer breakdown video, the devs speak about a number of ways that are contributing to that, from its setting of Baghdad to the heightened emphasis on assassinations, stealth, parkour, and more.

The recent gameplay walkthrough showcased Basim planning out and executing assassinations before then fleeing from the scene, while new gameplay features – like a variety of stealth tools and environmental aids – were also glimpsed. More details are revealed on all of this and more in the video. Check it out below.

Ubisoft will be sharing further updates on the game in the coming weeks and months, including two additional behind-the-scenes developer videos, so stay tuned for that.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is due out on October 12 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
