Assassin’s Creed Origins Guide: Cheat Codes, Collectibles Locations, Legendary Weapons, Crafting And More

The good news is that Assassin’s Creed Origins is a good game. It has launched after the franchise took a rare year off, and while it could still have done with some polish, it’s a great return to form for Ubisoft’s troubled flagship action adventure franchise.

Except the action adventure moniker isn’t necessarily the best one anymore- you see, in the time that it took off, Assassin’s Creed has morphed into a full fledged action RPG- which is what Origins is. A massive, systemic open world, delivering to players the kind of emergent experiences previous games have not, as well as the origins (duh) of the series’ mythos.

Of course, it’s a staggeringly big game, too- but that’s why we are here to help you. In this guide, we will help you figure out all locations and solutions for Papyrus Puzzles, Tombs and Hermits. We also take a look at the highest point in the game, along with legendary weapons, powerful armor/outfits and shields. Then we also take a look at how you can farm and earn gold coins/money quickly, level up faster and unlock skill points, gain XP (experience points), cheat codes and cheats for unlimited health, infinite skills, crafting materials, gold coins and money.

And lastly, we also take a look at how you can unlock some of the achievements and trophies.

So- let’s get started?

ALL PAPYRUS PUZZLE LOCATIONS AND SOLUTIONS

A Ubisoft game, especially a Ubisoft Assassin’s Creed game, wouldn’t be complete if it wasn’t full of tings in the open world for you to go and complete- after all, this franchise popularized the modern collectathon style of open world. Thankfully, side activities and collectibles in Origins are better contextualized. Among these are included Papyrus puzzle locations and solutions- the video below will walk you through every single one of them.

ANCIENT TABLETS: TOMB LOCATIONS AND SOLUTIONS

Origins takes advantage of its rich setting by drawing upon it to deliver some extremely well done side puzzles, which are mini dungeons unto themselves, that you as the player can stumble upon in the world. The video below walks you through all of these tombs.

HERMIT LOCATIONS

There are five hermits in Origins for you to track down- which isn’t a whole lot, you may think, but finding five in a world so vast can be exhausting. Thankfully, we are here to help you out with that. The video below lists all of them.

THE HIGHEST POINT IN THE GAME

Try making a modern open world game without towers- it’s pretty hard to find one without them today. Towers as a metaphor for vantage points were popularized by Assassin’s Creed, and they tap into the desire to find the highest point possible and have a look around for as far as the eye can see.

Which means, of course, in Origins, you want to find the highest point in the game, and climb there, right? Right. That’s what this video below will help you with.

LEGENDARY WEAPONS AND SHIELDS

There are four legendary weapons you can find in the game- remember to level them up as you level up your character, to maximize their effectiveness and damage output.

  • The Fang (Sickle Sword): Available with Digital Deluxe Pre-Orders only
Critical Hit Damage Max Level; Poisons on contact; Chance of OHKO For Lower Level Enemies
  • Golden Wolf (Sword): Take down the Outsider Phylakes
Critical Hit Rate Max Level; Critical Hit Damage Level 2; Heals When You Kill Enemies With It
  • Smokes and Mirrors (Bow): The Iron Ram Phylakes can drop this
Stealth Damage Level 3; Critical Hit Damage Level 2; May Light Enemies On Fire
  • Sarissa (Spear): Kill Stranger Phylakes
    Massive Critical Hit Damage

Shields

Additionally, there are also some legendary Shields for you to get in the game:

  • Snakes on a Shield: Digital Deluxe Pre-Order
Level 3 Adrenaline Upon Parry; Level 3 Damage Absorption
  • Compendium: Via a blacksmith
Ranged Attack Resistance Level 4; Damage Absorption Level 3; Causes Bleeding
  • Phalangite Shield: Loot from a blacksmith
Ranged Resistance Level 2; Adrenaline Boost Level 3; Poisons Enemies
  • Reinforced Shield: Via a blacksmitdes
Damage Absorption on Parry Level 1; Ranged Resistance Level 2; Melee Resistance Level 4
  • Scorpio: Discovered in the open world (rare drop)
Ranged Resistance Level 3; Damage Absorption on Parry Level 2; Poisons Enemies

CRAFTING

Like many other open world games, Origins also includes full on crafting mechanics- unlike The Witcher or Breath of the Wild, you’re not crafting potions or elixirs, you’re upgrading your gear (much like in Horizon: Zero Dawn). Here, we walk you through gear upgrade recipes.

How To Earn Money Faster And Farm Coins:

Assassin’s Creed Origins has a surprisingly full featured economy. Earning money is paramount to you being able to access all that the game has to offer. So allow us to tell you how to stay on top of the earning money game:

  • Do quests. This includes main quests, yes, but also side-quests. This should go without saying, really, but quests have money as rewards, and are the quickest way to earn a lot of cash
  • Explore the world- go into tombs, complete puzzles, interact with everything- most things offer some money as loot, so you’re going to be able to accumulate some gold this way
  • Hunt. Even when you don’t need materials, you can sell them- and that earns you money.
  • Invest in the Salesman perk. It expands the money you earn.
  • Engage in side activities, including races- these can earn you a lot of money if you stick with them.

How To Level Up Faster, Gain XP (Experience Points) And Unlock Skills Quickly:

Assassin’s Creed Origins is a full on action RPG, which means you need to be on top of things as far as your level goes- and you gain levels by earning XP, which, in turn, means you have to figure out ways to earning XP the fastest. We list out some general tips and tricks for you in this section.

  • Sidequests- do these. You earn most XP by completing quests, and the story quests will only take you so far. Find side quests in the world, and engage in them. You earn the most XP this way
  • Explore the map! You earn XP for finding new places
  • Be stealthy! Stealth kills earn more XP than regular kills
  • Get headshots! Again, XP bonus for these kills
  • Invest in perks that increase XP gain, and do so at the earliest
