Everything that developer MachineGames shown from Indiana Jones and the Great Circle strongly suggests it’s going to be a substantial experience in more ways than one, though one detail that hasn’t yet been shared by the studio is how long the game is going to be. That is, after all, a question that many consider highly pertinent, especially for a full-priced, semi-linear, single-player title.

Speaking in a recent interview with MinnMax, when asked how long the action-adventure title’s campaign will be, creative director Axel Torvenius called it “by far the biggest and longest game that MachineGames has ever done.” The developer did not elaborate further, nor did he provide an estimate for what the runtime will be.

Up to this point, Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus is probably MachineGames’ biggest game to date. The 2017 first-person shooter could take anywhere between 15-25 hours, depending on how heavily you engaged with its optional content- so we can at least safely assume Indiana Jones is going to be longer than that.

MachineGames has also offered details on how the game’s difficulty settings will function, and spoken about what to expect from its post-launch DLC

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle releases for Xbox Series X/S and PC on December 9, and for PS5 next Spring.
