Assassin’s Creed Origins Looks Gorgeous In 4K In New Gameplay Video

But more importantly, we also get an extended look at how the game plays.

Assassin’s Creed Origins will run in dynamic 4K on the Xbox One X- which is great, because the game looks fantastic to begin with. Of course, the Assassin’s Creed series has long had a penchant for good looking games, thanks to cutting edge technology and some gorgeous art styles. Origins looks no different in that regard.

Now, we have an 18 minute gameplay video of the game in 4K resolution, courtesy of IGN, running on the Xbox One X, and showing us more of the game. While some of you are probably more interested in how the game looks, I am rather more interested in how it plays- what I see here looks to me to be greatly encouraging and interesting, after how stale and staid the last few Assassin’s Creed games had gotten.

Whether the final game ends up living up to its somewhat nebulous promises as of right now is something that remains to be seen. Assassin’s Creed Origins hits the Xbox One, PS4, and PC on October 27.
