A new video for Assassin’s Creed Origins, the upcoming new entry in the series, that serves as a soft reboot narratively (by taking the storyline for the series to its earliest point yet) and mechanically (by basically turning the franchise into an open world action RPG), has been released courtesy of IGN.

This new video shows us Bayek, the protagonist of the game, and his eagle companion Senu, giving us a behind the scenes look at the game, along with an explanation of why both of them are hugely critical for the title and its story. There are no spoilers here- but if you want to go into the game blind, maybe don’t watch it? Honestly, it depends on your sensitivity towards spoilers, I guess (not that this is one).

Assassin’s Creed Origins is due out on October 27, for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Whether or not the year long hiatus the series took since its last installment will be enough to revitalize it is something that remains to be seen.
