Assassin’s Creed Unity Includes Boss Fights, Long Ranged Weapons, And More

Because assassins used to get into boss fights all the time.

Assassin's Creed Unity

Game Informer has been covering Assassin’s Creed Unity in depth for a while now, and here’s the latest from the magazine. The newest Assassin’s Creed, Assassin’s Creed Unity, will seemingly mix things up a little by allowing assassins to wield long range weapons, refining guns, and by including boss fights with characters who are similarly matched to Arno in terms of skill. Yes, believe it or not, Assassin’s Creed hasn’t actually had true boss fights just yet.

I’ll be honest, I’m not exactly sure how I feel about the boss fights bit just yet. It seems to run counter to what this series is about- if I am an assassin, then surely the point is to sneak in, stalk my target, and then assassinate them, rather then entering a dramatic, possibly monologue infested arena fight with them.

But we’ll see. Assassin’s Creed stopped being about assassins a long time ago, but it still remained fun, so who knows how this will go.
