After a year off, the Assassin’s Creed franchise returned with a new mainline entry, Valhalla. The Viking-themed adventure title was welcomed with open arms by setting a first week sales record for the franchise. It’ll also mark the first game in the storied series to be on the fresh new gen consoles. Not only that, if you’re lucky enough to be playing on those systems, you’ll also be getting some more options.

The next title update for the game, 1.04, will add an option between performance and graphics mode for the new consoles. Performance will allow the game to adapt to whatever settings needed to maintain a (hopefully) steady 60 FPS, whereas while graphics mode, which they are calling “quality” mode will run at the maximum resolution possible while targeting 30 FPS. These options will be for all three next generation systems: PS5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is available now for most major platforms. The 1.04 title update will launch for all of them on November 26th. You can read our take on the game with our review through here.
