In 2019, with the launch of The Division 2, Ubisoft pledged their support for the Epic Games Store, and since then, every game they have put out has launched exclusively for Epic’s storefront as well as their own Uplay, skipping Steam in the process. That will continue with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla later this year (via GameSpot). This doesn’t really come as a surprise, given how vocally supportive of the Epic Games Store Ubisoft have been for a while.
Ubisoft finally unveiled Assassin’s Creed Valhalla a couple days ago after a years of leaks, which was followed by a CG reveal trailer yesterday. Next week at Microsoft’s digital Xbox Series X event, Ubisoft will be premiering gameplay from the upcoming open world RPG for the first time ever. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is clearly a massive undertaking for Ubisoft. 14 additional studios have lent their support during development to lead developers Ubisoft Montreal, and the game has been in the works for the last two and half years.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be out this Holiday for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and Stadia. On the Xbox Series X, the game will run at 4K, and also support Smart Delivery.
