Assassin’s Creed was known as Prince of Persia: Assassins in 2004

We have an incredible footage of Assassin’s Creed of when it was in the concept stage and was known as Prince of Persia: Assassins. It shows Ezio or someone like that stabbing a bunch of guards and riding off on a horse, and the whole thing looks like a very, very early footage — asset wise.

Superannuation has dug up a show reel of a sound designer who used to work at Ubisoft, and what you’re going to see is pretty amazing.

The Assassin’s Creed clip starts at 1:23 and features some gameplay mechanics that many people will be familiar of.

The current direction that Assassin’s Creed is heading for is nothing short of amazing with Assassin’s Creed 3 looking to be the best game in the series.
