Atlus Confirms It Is Planning for Persona 6

Reach out to the truth.

After the success of Persona 4 and especially Persona 5, it should come as no surprise to anyone that Atlus is working on more games in the series. We already know that spin off games like Persona 3: Dancing Moon Night, Persona 5: Dancing Star Night, and Persona Q2 are all on the horizon- but in a first, Atlus has also confirmed that it has begun work on Persona 6.

Speaking to Dengeki PlayStation, Atlus’ Kazuhisa Wada said that Atlus has already begun work on new Persona games, including a new numbered entry. “We are working on mid-to-long term plan, including new numbered entries, so that fans can continue to enjoy the Persona series after this year,” he said. Interestingly, he also said more Persona collaborations will happen- until now, all we have had on that front is the Arc Systems Works developed Persona 4 Arena games- at the very least, does this confirm a Persona 5 Arena, then?

For now, all we can do is speculate- whatever the next Persona game may be, I have to imagine we are some time away from it even being revealed.
