Atlus Says Survey About Multiplatform Ports Of Their Series “Exceeded Expectations”

So, you're saying there's a chance here?

Earlier in the week we got the latest annual survey about ports, remakes, and sequels from Japanese company Atlus. It’s been a yearly thing, and each time people have paid attention probably a tad more than they should, primarily because of the mentions of multiplatform ports of their franchises. It seems this year a lot of people really paid attention again, as the responses to the survey exceeded Atlus’ expectations.

Via Atlus’ official Japanese Twitter, it was said that the survey is now closed and that participation has exceeded their expectations. The survey mentions the franchises of Catherine, Persona, Shin Megami Tensei, and Etrian Odyssey, and brings up platforms such as the Switch, PS4, Stadia, and PS5 (but no Xbox, curiously enough). What that actually means at the end of the day for Atlus’ future plans is anyone’s guess.

Atlus has always been an odd one when it comes to platforms. They still keep their franchises platform-exclusive, for whatever reason, with mainline entries being restricted to a single console. Whether that will change anytime soon is anyone’s guess, though maybe continued surveys like this could help.
