Journey composer Austin Wintory has revealed that he will be composing the game for Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards Reloaded, a game that was successfully funded on Kickstarter.
He is a grammy nominated composer and his soundtrack for Journey is regarded as one of the best ever this year.
“That’s my era as a gamer growing up,” Wintory said. “This was like a fantasy to work on a game like that,” he told Polygon.
“The team that’s remaking it, Replay Games, they had been fans of Journey. It’s actually shocking that they would think to call me because they couldn’t be more opposite of each other.”
Being a grammy nominated composer, it’s plausible that he will get more chances to compose for giant AAA titles, it’s something that is inevitable.
Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards Reloaded is on Steam Greenlight and will be released in 2013 for PC, Mac and mobile platforms.
